Occurrence of the Common Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia Antigen on Blast Cells
نویسنده
چکیده
Leukemias showing a conspicious lymphoid phenotype. ie. those that are HLA-DR positive. common acute lymphoblastic antigen (cALLA) positive. terminal deoxynucleotidyl transferase (TdT) negative, as well as myeloperoxidase positive (MPO). could be considered so-called mixed leukemias. Leukemias with biphenotypic blasts have to be distinguished from cases comprising two separate subpopulations that express different lineage-associated characteristics. By use of a simple new method (Immunogold Staining) we examined a case of chronic myelomonocytic leukemia in blastic phase and demonstrated simultaneous

Significance of Cross Lineage Antigen Expression in Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia
Background: Aberrant expression of cross-lineage antigens gives valuable insight into the diagnosis and prognosis of acute leukemia. In countries like India, cytogenetic tests are widely accessible. Exploring the prognostic value of an accessible test is of great importance. Therefore, establishing a population-specific immunophenotype database will enable to design an antibody panel equipped t...

Two IgM monoclonal antibodies (MAb) with strong reactivity for granulocytes and to a lesser extent for lurkat cell lines were established by immunizing BALBI c mice with a histiocytic cell line (UY37). These two MAbs (designated as 6C9 and 4C4) reacted with blast cells of T-acute lymphoblastic leukemia (T-ALL) and acute myelogenous leukemia (AML) patients as well as leukemic cells from pat...
متن کاملCharacterization of Immunophenotypic Aberrancies in Adult and Childhood Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia: Lessons from Regional Variation
Background & Objective: Although the antigen expression patterns of acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) are well known, this study attempted to evaluate commonly used immune markers for immunophenotyping of acute leukemia to set the minimum of necessary diagnostic panels by flow cytometry. Methods: This study evaluated 89 patients referred from all over th...

متن کاملDetection Of 11q23 Gene Rearrangement In Children With Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia And Its Association With Demographic Data and Response To Initial Chemotherapy On The Seventh Day Of Induction
Background: Acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) is the most common form of childhood cancer leading to cancer-related death in children. Most infants with ALL harbor recurring structural chromosomal rearrangements that are important initiating events in leukemogenesis but are insufficient to explain the biology and heterogeneity of the disease. Mixed-lineage leukemia-rearrangement (MLL-rearrange...
متن کاملA new acute leukemia-associated blast cell antigen detected by a monoclonal antibody.
A monoclonal mouse antibody has been raised to the common acute lymphoblastic leukemia (cALL) cell line Reh. It is a cytotoxic antibody of the IgG2, subclass that reacts with leukemia cells from the following patients: 69% non-B non-T ALL, 50% T-ALL, 18% acute myeloblastic leukemia (AML), and 66% chronic myeloid leukemia (CML) blast crisis lymphoid cells. Other types of leukemia and all normal ...
